A Fashion Show Without a Venue
Digital Catwalk is an in-house Aalix Studio project built around one question: what if a fashion collection could walk a runway before a single sample is sewn, shipped or fitted? A physical fashion show needs a venue, casting, lighting crews, hair and make-up teams and weeks of production. For many emerging designers and growing labels, that cost keeps the runway out of reach.
The goal was a complete digital fashion show that feels like a professionally directed couture presentation rather than a generic AI montage. Every garment had to stay exactly as designed: silhouette, fabric, color, embellishment and construction, front and back, from the first walk to the final bow.
From Garment Reference to Virtual Runway
We started where every collection starts: the garment. Each of the five looks was locked as a front-and-back reference plate. The line-up: a blush jacquard trapeze mini with a sculpted collar, a plum satin column gown with a beaded cowl halter, a bronze one-shoulder draped gown, a burgundy sequin mini with a pleated fan bodice and tulle train, and a bridal satin corset gown with a cascading ruffled veil.
In parallel we designed the set: a dark luxury hall with a narrow, glossy T-shaped runway, warm lines of light, a seated audience and a softly lit moon disc as the focal point. Treating the venue as a locked plate kept every shot in the same space, under the same light.
The show was then directed shot by shot, like a live runway. Each model enters, walks to camera, holds a pose and turns to reveal the back construction before exiting. All five then return for the finale line-up, followed by the designer’s closing walk and bow. Strict reference locks kept faces, fabrics, trims and proportions consistent from frame to frame, and the finished film was upscaled to 1080 x 1920 for vertical-first platforms.
From the full 144-second show we also cut a fast, beat-driven Instagram Reel. It is the short-form format a collection launch actually needs.
Five Looks, One Virtual Runway
Digital Catwalk delivered a cinematic digital fashion show of five couture looks, with walks, turns, back details, a finale line-up and the designer’s bow, set in a venue that exists only on screen. Every garment reads exactly as it was designed. The film works as a collection launch and as a presentation piece for buyers, press and clients.
The project is now the blueprint for our digital fashion show service. Bring your own designs and we stage them on a virtual runway. Or start without a collection: our fashion designers create one for you and take it from sketch to show.
It also shows the garment-first thinking behind all of Aalix Studio’s work. Each piece is designed as fashion first, then carried into digital form for film, campaigns and 3D.
